Matu Nguri

Matu Nguri is a lecturer in broadcast journalism and communication studies in the Department of Communication Studies, School of Human Resource Development, Moi University, Kenya. He is currently completing his doctoral studies Moi University, with a dissertation on television and development in Kenya. He is former director of the Kenyan Institute of Mass Communication, and former Senior Deputy Director of Information of the Kenyan Ministry of Information and Communication. His publications include “Media Training in Eastern Africa” (with Esther Kamweru and Mumbi Lisa), “Community Broadcasting: Some Philosophical Reflections” (with Grace Githaiga), “Media Regulation in Eastern Africa” (with Esther Kamweru) and “Creative Population Communication” (with Joab Osiako).
