Benedict Mongula

Benedict Mongula (PhD) is Associate Professor at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He teaches, does research and supervises graduate students on several aspects of development, including media. He is currently Project Director of the six-year collaborative project between Huron University College, Canada and IDS “Building Civil Society Capacity for Poverty Reduction”. In the context of that project, Professor Mongula is engaged in an outreach project with the Maasai in the Monduli District, aimed at strengthening rural information and communication for poverty reduction.
